La rivista britannica NME ha stilato una classifica delle 100 migliori canzoni dei Noughties, ovvero degli anni dal 2000 al 2010, un decennio connotato nel rock dall’avvento dell’indie, che ha dato una svolta al panorama desolante di fine anni ’90.
Come ogni classifica quella di NME è destinata a suscitare polemiche, se non altro perchè è stata data moltissima importanza ad artisti pop e hip hop, tanto che la vittoria finale è andata a Beyoncé.
La popstar ha battuto tra gli altri MGMT, secondi con Time To Pretend, e gli Strokes, sul podio con Hard To Explain.
