Durante un’intervista per il programma radiofonico americano, The Big Tigger Show, Kelly Rowland ha voluto parlare riguardo il nuovo album di Beyoncé:

“I’ve heard pieces of what she’s done. She’s heard things that I’ve recorded and I just think it scratches the surface to everything else. I think it’s a great record. It’s her expression. I think, as an artist, you can express yourself however you want to and I just can’t wait for everybody to hear the rest of the record. It is insane.”

Sintetizzando queste parole, Kelly ha inteso che per il quinto album,  Beyoncé  ha voluto parlare sostanzialmente di se stessa.

Segue poi giustificando Bow Down: “Un’artista può decidere di esprimersi come vuole, e lei l’ha fatto”.

Infine, termina dicendo che non vede l’ora che sentiamo il resto, perché è pazzesco.

E se da una parte Kelly ha difeso il lavoro della propria migliore amica, c’è chi ha fatto di più.

Infatti, Durante un’intervista al produttore e cantautore The Dream, per The Breakfast Club, gli è stato chiesto se avesse lavorato con Keyshia Cole , dopo che quest’ultima ha dichiarato che Beyoncé, nella sua nuova canzone “Bow Down” , sia stata ipocrita ed incoerente (viste le battaglie per l’unione e per i diritti delle donne) nel cantare ” Inchinatevi, str**e”.

La risposta di the Dream è stata:

“Right now because of what happened I can’t and I think she would respect why I can’t. That’s [Beyonce] my family. You’re talking about my family and you can’t do that.”

“In questo momento, a causa di quello che è successo, non posso, e penso che lei rispetterebbe il motivo per cui non posso. Questa è la mia famiglia (riferendosi a Beyoncé). Stai parlando della mia famiglia e non si può fare “.
